Who are Tennis X?
I founded Tennis X Ltd in 2011 as I wanted to offer affordable, expert tennis coaching in and around Erewash, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. I have been coaching in Erewash for some time at both Ilkeston Tennis Club and Ockbrook & Borrowash Tennis Club as well as offering many private lessons at Derby Tennis Centre. This all became to much for me to run on my own, therfore Tennis X was born out of the neccessity to employ the services of more tennis coaches.
It is essential to me that the coaches I employ share my philosophy and passion for the game. I want everyone in the areas that we are coaching to have the opportunity to learn to play tennis, without comprimising the high standard of coaching. Therfore all of the coaches working for TennisX are CRB checked, and qualified and licensed by our sports governing body, The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
I also want to keep prices affordable to make tennis as accessible as possible for everyone and to dispell the mith that tennis is a sport just for the wealthy.

Director of TennisJames started playing tennis at the age of 13, a very late starter by todays standards. However within a year he was playing at county level and has since represented Nottinghamshire many times at both Junior and Senior level, receiving his County Colours for services to Nottinghamshire Tennis. He was the Junior County Doubles Champion twice but unfortunatly only ever Runner Up in singles. James played in the qualifying events of professional tournaments and on The British Tour, however he soon realised that his skills were very much suited to coaching. James started coaching in 1997 and has coached in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the USA. He's coached all levels and nationalities, from beginners to Division One Collegiate players and professionals. He's also worked with National Level Juniors, some of which have progressed on to play professional tennis. James has a track record of producing players, he's friendly, approachable and keen to help all players maximise their potential.
